His entire career revolves around ghosts-bringing the tragic history of Chicago alive on ghost tours. She refuses to "go all in" on her dad's ghost stories. She counts when going into the dark alley at her home in Chicago. Franky, darkness scares me as it does Claire. I thought this novel was the scariest of the scary novels on the list this year.Ĭlaire resembles me-it's not that I believe in ghosts, but I also am not going to visit haunted places. ![]() This novel is a 2022 Lone Star selection. ![]()
